PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated October 6, 2026
This policy explains what information Steep Life Media ("Steep Life Media," "we," "us") collects when you visit steeplifemedia.com and related domains that point to it (the "Site"), and how we use it. Our brands, including Mountain Outpost and UltraRunning Magazine, run their own websites under their own privacy policies.
The short version
The Site is a simple informational website. It has no account sign-up, no forms, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking scripts, and it does not set cookies. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us by email.
Information we collect
- Email you send us. If you contact us at hello@steeplife.media, we receive your email address, name, and whatever you include in your message.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes standard technical data needed to deliver and secure the Site, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, referring URL, and the time of the request. We do not use this data to build profiles of visitors.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading the Site does not send your information to font providers. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy first.
How we use information
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss potential projects.
- To operate, maintain, and protect the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our email (for example, hosting and email providers), when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
Links to other sites
The Site links to our brands and other third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
Retention
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a business record of the conversation. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a limited period under its own retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@steeplife.media. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor requests as required.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
